Sub-committee personnel ratified

FORMER CHAIRMAN Ger Doyle has returned to the administrative fold as a member of one of the sub-committees notified to the clubs at Tuesday’s County Board meeting.

Doyle is included on the County Development Committee which is responsible for the upkeep of Innovate Wexford Park, St. Patrick’s Park and the Halo Tiles and Bathrooms Ferns Centre of Excellence.

Doyle, along with some of his colleagues on the old Ferns committee, has been recalled to see out the final phase of the development, namely the completion of the clubhouse upstairs.

County Development Officer, Cathal Byrne, said on Friday that Doyle was included on his committee for his expertise in ‘kitchens’. This possibly relates to the kitchen which is part of the final phase of development. Doyle has a professional background in the restaurant and catering industry.

P.R. Committee: P.J. Howlin (Chairman), Cian O Lionáin, Mick Nolan, Joe O’Carroll, Lar Sutton, Michael Dwyer, Eoin Morrissey, Ed Rowsome, Tony Furlong, Maria Nolan, along with the Coiste na nOg P.R.O.

Names for the Irish and Culture Committee were not put forward for ratification at Tuesday’s meeting. Delegates were informed that the names of Irish and Culture Officers are being sought from every club, and it is hoped to have a committee in place by the next meeting.

Seamus Whelan is the referees’ administrator, while Micheál Mahon (HWH-Bunclody) is the Chairman’s nominee on the Management committee.
