AFTERNOON TEA PARTY

There was a very good attendance at the Afternoon Tea Party organised by the local Crossabeg-Ballymurn GAA Club and which was held in Kyle Forge on Saturday last. There was a lovely relaxing atmosphere in the Forge and teas and coffee on offer as well as plenty of good food and tasty cakes. The cake sale itself was doing a roaring trade and outside under a canopy, members of the club were on hand to accept underage registration.

Club chairman Gerry Bernard extended thanks to all who helped out beforehand and during the day, to the many parishioners from Crossabeg and Ballymurn and indeed outside of the parish who attended; to those who made donations and handed in items of food for sale on the cake stall as well as for the guests who attended, and to all who donated prizes for the raffle. It was he said, a great community gathering.

The winners of the raffle were Blaithnaid Sinnott, Maria Gormley, Lilly Cummins, Niamh Sherlock, Albert McDonald, Pat Reck, Katie Foley, Cian Kinlough.
