Rampant Rangers too good for Campile

Rosslare Rangers proved too strong for basement side Campile United, running out comfortabl­e winners in the only Premier Division match played on Sunday.

Aaron Kehoe and Paul Culleton both netted doubles for Rangers, with Lee Donoghue also getting on the scoresheet in a resounding 5-0 victory.

Division1

Mark O’Connor was the match-winner for Curracloe United as they comprehens­ively overcame leaders Ferns United in their Division 1 clash on Sunday.

O’Connor netted all three goals for the seasiders as they ran out comfortabl­e 3-0 victors.

Division2

Leaders Shelburne maintained their three-point advantage at the top of Division 2 thanks to a 4-1 away win over Shamrock Rovers on Sunday.

Eoin Kelly, Jamie O’Dowd, Paddy Murphy and Denis Murray hit the back of the net for the pacesetter­s, with Elliott Jordan replying for Rovers.

Moyne Rangers kept the pressure on by beating Ajax Athletic 2-0 in a local derby, with Joshua O’Byrne and Brendan Dunne getting on the scoresheet.

Wexford Celtic were held to a 3-3 draw by Fastnet Rovers, with Paddy Walsh, Jack Murphy and Gavin O’Brien scoring for the Rathangan outfit.

Enniscorth­y Town caused a massive upset in Division 2A on Sunday by beating leaders Cloughbawn 3-1.

Mark Heffernan, Darragh O’Grady and Wayne Breen got the goals for the Cathedral town side, with Seán McCann replying for the table-toppers.

Bree United and Enniscorth­y United remain deadlocked at the top of Division 3 after both sides recorded victories on Sunday.

Bree overcame New Ross Celtic 4-1 with goals from Noel Roche (two), Thomas Cash and Dylan Dalton, while James Sheridan, Barry Nolan, William O’Sullivan, Barry Byrne, Ger Molloy and Peter Cullen got on the scoresheet for Enniscorth­y United as they recorded an impressive 6-2 win over The Ballagh.

Bunclody, who have games in hand, will also have a say in the title race, and they saw off Oylegate 2-0 with goals from Jay Somers and Aaron Collier.

Elsewhere Ferns United ran out comprehens­ive 6-0 winners away to bottom side Caim United, with Dicky Redmond netting four goals and Pete Whelan and Conor Nolan adding one each.

Bridge Rovers ensured Wexford Albion’s wait to claim the Division 3A title lasts a bit longer by overcoming Shelburne 4-3 on Sunday.

Podge Doyle, Rob Kehoe and Shane Brazil got on the scoresheet for Shelburne but the Castlebrid­ge side prevailed.

Castledock­rell beat Rosbercon in a goal-fest, winning 7-4 with Ned Hendrick and Shane Mernagh contributi­ng doubles and Colin Beasley, Shane Doyle and Killian Ronan grabbing a goal apiece.

Philip O’Connor replied with a hat-trick for the New Ross side, with Joey Meggs getting their other goal.

Courtown Hibs edged out Curracloe United 3-2 thanks to a David Fitzpatric­k double and an own goal, while Wexford Celtic ran out 2-1 winners over Camolin.

After tasting defeat the previous week, Carne FC reignited their title hopes by overcoming Rosslare Rangers 3-1 on Sunday.

Fintan Mullins (two) and Robbie Reville got the goals for the winners, with Andy Cummins replying for Rangers.

Division 4A champions Cloughbawn proved too good for Taghmon United on Sunday, with goals from Stephen Kennedy and Paddy Lambert earning them a 2-0 away victory.
