Bridgetown man secures overseas job placement
WEXFORD graduate Jack Glynn is sowing the seeds of a future career in food industry management after successfully securing a two-year long overseas placement under a Fyffes Graduate Management Programme.
From Bridgetown, the 22-year old is currently applying his knowledge working in Fyffes materials and purchasing department at their San Jose base in the Central American country of Costa Rica.
One of ten applicants from across the country chosen by Fyffes to participate in their 2016 programme, Jack graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a degree in Food Science with Business.
Speaking from Costa Rica, Jack described his role as an ‘enjoyable challenge’, saying ‘ the Fyffes International Graduate Management Programme has given me a unique opportunity to learn, adapt, change and develop in a completely different environment to Ireland. Working with different people all over the world, I plan, organise, search, source, purchase, change and manage the movement of our materials and products.’
