TWO NIGHTS AND THREE TOP SHOWS
THE CURTAIN closed on two nights of three great shows at this year’s South East Tops in Taghmon-Camross GAA Community Centre last week.
This year three groups took part in the annual Tops, which is run in Taghmon every year – Adamstown, Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour and Taghmon.
There was no overall winner this year for the Tops but instead the adjudicators – Liam Spratt, Mike Nolan and Robert Bennett – picked individuals and gave them awards in different categories. WINNERS Best Actor: Charlie Bradley from Adamstown Variety Group.
Best Actress: Jeannette Sidney Kelly from Taghmon Tops Group.
Best Male Singer: Billy Brennan from Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Group.
Best Female Singer: Elaine Pierce from Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Group.
Children’s Scene Award 1: The dancers from Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Group.
Children’s Scene Award 2: ‘One Last Dance’ from Adamstown Variety Group.
Children’s Scene Award 3: ‘The Trolls’ from Taghmon Tops Group.
Best Comedy Award: Charlie Bradley and Andy Culleton from Adamstown Variety Group.
Best Heritage Award: ‘The Wake’ from Taghmon Tops Group.
Best Choreography: Anne Marie Stafford and Marie Kelly, Taghmon Tops Group.
Best Creativity Originality: ‘Optical Illusion’ from Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Group.
