results of lotto draw for Curracloe United AFC held on Sunday, March 19, The numbers drawn were 4, 8, 11 and 25. There was no jackpot winner and seven match-three winners who each received €25, Blain Parnell, c/o, Curracloe Tavern; Jimmy Howlin, c/o Annie Howlin; Lynda Shiggins, c/o seller; John Howlin, Ballinabla­ke; Liam Cloake, Curracloe; Jim Redmond, Ballina and Colm Murphy, Newfort, Screen.

Results of lotto draw for Sunday, March 26, as follows: the numbers drawn were 14, 22, 24 and 28. There was no jackpot winner and one match-three winner, Mairead Potter, Ballina, Curracle, who won €150. Next Sundays jackpot stands at €20,000 and the draw will take place in the Curracloe Tavern at 9 p.m.

CURRACLOE SCHOOL NEWS

Curracle national school will hold an Open evening in the school on Thursday of this week, March 30 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Refreshmen­ts will be served and this is an opportunit­y to view all classrooms and the new relaxation room. The pupils from fifth and sixth classes will present their entry for the Junior Entreprene­ur 2017 while Mrs Torpeys class will provide music. This event is open to all and current and prospectiv­e parents are most welcome.

The Holy Communion class made their First Penance last week in Curracloe church. They have now completed all preparator­y Masses and look forward to their special day which will take place on May 14.

Well done to Seán Keane-Carroll, who won €201 in the splitthe-pot competitio­n.

POOL TOURNAMENT

The final of the Richard Furlong Memorial pool tournament will take place in Furlongs pub, Curracloe, on Sunday next, April 2, at 3 p.m. The event is being sponsored by Bones Furlong Digger Hire and ST Civil Engineerin­g, Ballina.

BIRTHDAY BOY

Tommy Doyle will celebrate his 50th birthday at Furlongs pub, Curracloe, on Saturday, April 8, Instead of presents, Tommy is asking all his friends to make donations to the Wexford Hospice Home Care associatio­n.

ICA COOKERY DEMO

Castlebrid­ge ICA Guild will host a charity fundraiser. Edward Hayden will give a cookery demonstrat­ion in the Riverbank house hotel on Thursday, April 6, Tickets are available at the hotel or from committee members. All funds raised will go towards Marine Watch, the Hope Cancer Support centre and Castlebrid­ge Day Care Centre.

TRACTOR RUN

The Over the Water Vintage club will hold a tractor and car run on Sunday, April 9, The meeting place is Ballymurn village and the event gets under way at 12.30 p.m. All proceeds in aid of the local hall funds.
