BINGO

Bingo is played every Monday night in the Anvil Ballymurn at 9 p.m.

IRISH DANCING

The Margo Murphy school of dancing classes continue every Tuesday evening in Ballymurn Hall at 5 p.m.

CAMOGIE THANK YOU

Many thanks to all those who supported our breakfast morning last Saturday in any way, it was a great success. Thanks to our many sponsors and helpers on the day. A special mention to our under-14 girls who were fantastic waitresses.

Penny bank collection­s continue every Saturday and Sunday in the hall after masses.

GAA NOTES

This week’s lotto numbers were 3, 21, 28 and 29. No winner, no match threes: Lucky Dips; Marie Gormley Judith Murphy Jacob Next jackpot €7,800.

Our club will host a team from Tyrone for this year’s Felie hurling tournament in June.

Adult Membership fees for 2017: €120 for players, €60 for students and €50 for non-playing members, due now.

Congratula­tions to Ronan Devereux who made his first start for Wexfords senior footballer­s on Sunday against London, when the team achieved promotion to Division 3 for next year.

KNITTER KNATTERS

Ballymurn Knitter Knatters meet every Wednesday in the club room of Ballymurn hall from 11 a.m. New members always welcome.

VINTAGE NEWS

The next Over the Water Vintage run will take place on Sunday, April 9, starting in Ballymurn at 12 30 in aid of Ballymurn Hall.

GOLF CLASSIC

There will be a golf classic in aid of Ballymurn Church funds on Friday, April 28.

Tee off times from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Venue Enniscorth­y golf club. Entry fee €120 per team of four.

CABARET

There will be a cabaret in the Anvil running in conjunctio­n with the golf classic on the following night April 29 where prizes will be presented to the winning golfers. This a parish event for neighbours and friends to join us and enjoy. Music is by McBride.

Ticket sellers for this cabaret will be out around the parish during the coming weeks, your usual generosity will be greatly appreciate­d and will enable the finance committee to update repairs to the church, details of which are displayed on the notice board. Also any unwanted or unused gifts you may have would be greatly appreciate­d as prizes for the raffle.

IRISH NIGHT

There will be an Irish night in the Anvil Pub the last Friday of the month. Why not come along and enjoy the music and the craic.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of the late Eileen Doyle Knocknavei­gh whose husband Phil R.I.P came from the Skeough Ballylucas. May they rest in peace. Mass and before Mass on the Sunday morning. Then drop in after the Mass and have a coffee and a chat.

Any donations of cakes can be given to any of the members of the Developmen­t group, or if you wish you can drop them into Pat Mulveys house or call Pat at 087 6376088 and she will pick hem up from you.

As in the past this has been very well supported so please in the usual generous Spirit of our community please lend your support again. looking forward to seeing everyone for a cuppa.

VILLAGE RENEWAL

An Taisce and Environmen­t Section, Wexford County Council have registered the Glenbrien Renewal Group to do a Spring Cleaning event on March 27/28/29. Bags, gloves and picking equipment will be available to volunteers from any of the representa­tive groups of the townlands of Glenbrien and arrangemen­ts will be made to have all the rubbish picked up along the roadsides by the council. If you would like to get involved please contact Bernie Doyle or any member of the group.
