U-12Division2A

Bree United 0, Bunclody AFC 0: With New Ross Celtic wrapping up the divisional title last week, runners-up spot was up for grabs in this game but Bree needed to beat Bunclody to force a playoff for second while a point was enough for Bunclody.

In a tight, tense game, chances were at a minimum and Bunclody eventually got the point they needed to take second place.

St. Joseph’s 1, St. Leonards 1: A late, late equaliser saw St. Leonards grab a point in Kilmuckridge and deny a hard working St. Joseph’s side their first win of the season.

U-18Shieldquarter-final

Tombrack United 1, Gorey Rangers 1 (AET, Gorey Rangers won 3-2 on penalties): The home side will be disappointed to have bowed out of the Shield at this stage but credit must be given to a hard-working Gorey side who now go on to meet Wexford Celtic in the semi-final.

Angela Wall gave Rangers the lead but Tombrack battled back and levelled through Rebecca Connaughton to bring the game to extra-time where no further goals saw the game go to penalties where Rangers held their nerve to advance to the last four.
