Classy Corach hit Ferns for six

Leaders Corach Ramblers took another step towards the Premier Division on Sunday as they impressive­ly hit Ferns United for six.

Niall Harney and Mark Sinnott both bagged doubles, with John Staples and Richie Walsh also getting in on the act in a 6-0 win.

St. Joseph’s saw off Curracloe by the odd goal in seven, with Paul Nangle (two), Seán Keane and Conor O’Leary scoring for Joey’s and the seasiders replying through Brian O’Connor, Tony Smith and an own goal.

Forth Celtic and St. Leonards shared the spoils with Darragh Rossiter scoring for Forth and Mark Rossiter hitting the net for the saints.

Shelburne clinched the Division 2 crown on Sunday courtesy of a scoreless stalemate away to North End United ‘B’ (see focus match).

Wexford Celtic kept their promotion hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Shamrock Rovers, with the winners scoring through a Seán Carmody penalty and an Adam Roche header and Lee Morrissey replying for Rovers.

Joe Wilson (two) and Barry Coughlan got on the scoresheet for Crossabeg but they lost 5-3 to Stoney Rovers, with Cathal Murphy (two), Paidi Cullen, Murt Delaney and Anton Stafford scoring for the winners.

Seán Roche netted a double for Gorey Rangers and Jamie Howard got their other goal in their 3-2 win in Adamstown.

Division2A

New Ross Town ensured Cloughbawn’s wait to land the Division 2A crown goes on, with a last-gasp winner keeping the title race alive. The Barrowside­rs edged out Enniscorth­y Town 4-3 with goals from Stephen O’Leary, Shane Murray, Dermot Rossiter and Craig Wickham.

North End United trailed Rosslare Strand 2-1 at the break but took control after the interval to run out commanding 7-2 winners.

Derek Murphy and Jason Leniston both netted hattricks for the Sky Blues, with Dylan Redmond getting their other goal and Conor Clancy and Jake O’Connor scoring for Strand.

Forth Celtic saw off Rosslare Port 4-1 with goals from Derek Cowman, Alan Doyle, Jack Roche and Lee Busher, while Killenagh overwhelme­d Fethard Rangers 9-1.

Bree United moved to the top of Division 3 with a fivestar display against Raheen on Sunday.

The pacesetter­s ran out 5-0 winners with Noel Roche, Dylan Dalton, Thomas Cash, Seán Ring and Eddie Galvan all getting on the scoresheet.

Fellow promotion-hopefuls Bunclody also hit five goals without reply, with Jason Somers netting a hat-trick and Rory O’Brien adding a double in their convincing triumph against The Ballagh.

Dylan Ring (two), James Murphy and Shane Whelan got the goals for Ballymurn as they chalked up a 4-1 win in Ferns.

Division3A

Champions Wexford Albion had far too much firepower for Castledock­rell, running out 8-1 winners with doubles from Jamie Thomas and Dion Murphy, with Paddy O’Reilly, Ian McGuire, Liam O’Connor and Shane O’Connor adding a goal apiece.

Niall Kelly was the match winner for Curracloe United as he grabbed the only goal of the game against Wexford Celtic, while Bridge Rovers and Campile United drew 1-1.

Philip O’Connor and Decci Walsh got the goals for Rosbercon in their 3-2 loss to Camolin.

Division4

Rosslare Rangers put themselves in pole position to land the Division 4 title after overcoming fellow high-flyers Carne FC 1-0 in their derby clash on Sunday. Adrian Meyler grabbed the winner for Rangers to put his side three points clear at the top. However, All Blacks can force a play-off for the title by overcoming Wexford Bohs on Sunday.

Corach Ramblers beat Moyne Rangers 2-0 with goals from Darragh O’Connor and Paul Browne.

Division4A

Tombrack moved up to joint third in Division 4A thanks to a 5-2 win over Bree United on Sunday.

Mick Kelly scored four goals for the winners, with Kieran Kenny also hitting the back of the net.
