DANCING AT CAMROSS

The April dance will be held this Friday, April 7, in Camross Ballroom from 10 p.m. to midnight with music by Catherine and the Images. Admission is €8 including the tea.

NATIONAL TALENT FINAL

The all-Ireland Final for the Eleanora Gibbon Cup for Drama will be held in Camross Hall on Sunday, April 23, commencing at 11 a.m. The theme is ‘ICA Has Got Talent’ and guilds from Roscommon, Cork, Meath, Wicklow, Tipperary, Clare and of course Wexford will compete in the grand final. More details later.

CYCLE THANK YOU

Caroreigh Community Alert’s social cycle, which was held recently in Camross, was a great success and the committee would like to say thanks to all who helped in anyway to make this evert so successful.

GAA NOTES

Taghmon-Camross Intermedia­te Hurlers beat St James by 2-7 to 1-7 on Sunday in Ramsgrange in the league, goals by Mark Winters and Stephen O’Gorman.

ATHLETICS CLUB

Very well done to our athletes that competed in at he all-Ireland indoors in Athlone. Pádraig Hore was third in the under-18 shot putt. Joseph Hanlon was third in the under-18s walk and James Hanlon first in the under-16s walk.

Muireann Hore competed well at her first Indoor all-Irelands finishing seventh in the under-16s shot putt. Aisling Kelly fourth in under-15s 60m final and Hannah Roche Kelly unfortunat­ely didn’t progress to from the under-16s 60m sprint. Very well done for the fantastic achievemen­t of reaching the finals guys.
