Rosslare Rangers crowned Division 4 champions

New Ross Town’s winning run was brought to an end by Duncannon on Sunday, ensuring Cloughbawn, who drew 1-1 with Rosslare Port, were crowned Division 2A champions.

The seasiders ran out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Aaron O’Brien and Adam Long, with Shane Murray replying for Town.

Ross Town had ensured the title race stayed alive until the weekend with a 2-0 win away to Fethard in midweek.

The Barrowside­rs got on the scoresheet through Dermot Rossiter and an own goal.

North End United collected three points after edging out Enniscorth­y Town 2-1 with goals from Ciarán Carthy and Dean Roche, whole Killenagh saw off Rosslare Strand 5-2, with Conor Clancy and Jake O’Connor getting the goals for Strand.

Forth Celtic chalked up a 3-2 win in Fethard, with Jack Roche, Aaron Whitty and Adam McLoughlin scoring for the winners.

Noel Roche was the main man for Bree United as they took another huge step towards securing the Division 3 title.

Roche got all four goals for Bree in their 4-0 victory over The Ballagh.

Bunclody still harbour hopes of catching the leaders after their 3-1 win in Ballymurn, with Eoghan Kehoe scoring for the hosts.

Enniscorth­y United ended their campaign with a 3-2 win over Oylegate that leaves them on the brink of securing promotion. Mick Rigley grabbed the winner for the Enniscorth­y side, adding to a Conor Bolger strike and an own goal.

In midweek Oylegate suffered a 1-0 loss in their derby match with Ballymurn, with Eoghan Kehoe getting the goal.

Cushinstow­n also collected three points by beating Raheen 5-2 last Wednesday evening. Rosslare Rangers were crowned Division 4 champions on Sunday after All Blacks failed to pick up the three points required to force a play-off for the title.

All Blacks travelled to Wexford Bohs knowing nothing short of a win would suffice, but they came out on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline with Alan Flood (penalty) and Todd Hynes scoring for the hosts.

Wexford Bohs picked up another three points in midweek, by beating Enniscorth­y United 3-1 with goals from Dermot Flood, Todd Hynes and Aaron Walsh, with Hasane Smyth replying for United.

Crossabeg, who will meet Wexford Bohs in the Gwyn Jones final on Sunday, also warmed up for the decider with a win as they outclassed St. Leonards 6-1.

Kenny Kavanagh bagged a hat-trick for the winners, Vinnie Sullivan added a double and John Donovan got their other goal, with Niall Molloy replying for Leonards.

John Ryan was the hero for Tombrack as they secured promotion from Division 4A by edging out Boolavogue 5-4 on penalties in the third place play-off on Sunday.

The sides were deadlocked at 2-2 after extra-time, with Ryan netting both goals for Tombrack and Eoin Whelan and Higor Garcez replying for Boolavogue.

It was a day to remember for Ryan as he also scored the winning penalty.
