Two G.A.A. fundraisers
THE WEXFORD G.A.A. Supporters’ Club golf classic takes place in Wexford Golf Club on Friday, May 5. Teams of four cost €200, or individuals may form their own teams at €50 per head. This great value entry includes golf and a meal afterwards.
The organisers would greatly appreciate the support of as many clubs, businesses, associations and individuals as possible as the Supporters’ Club continues to promote and support hurling, football, camogie, ladies’ football and handball in Co. Wexford.
Book a tee-time by contacting Des Croke (086-2944249) or Brigid Doyle (087-7663359).
The golf classic has proved to be a very successful and enjoyable outing down the years, and the organisers look forward to seeing as many G.A.A. supporters as possible on the day.
Meanwhile, the Wexford Supporters’ Club Dublin branch are hosting a G.A.A. championship preview night on Monday, May 8.
The event featuring the county’s Senior hurling and football managers, Davy Fitzgerald and Seamus McEnaney, will take place in the Talbot Stillorgan Hotel starting at 7.30 p.m., and all are welcome to attend.
Special guests include horse racing trainer Jim Bolger, broadcaster and former Minister Ivan Yates, 1996 All-Ireland winner Tom Dempsey, and Irish international rugby and Lions squad member Tadhg Furlong. The cover charge is €5.
