The St Fintan’s GAA lotto now stands at €4,900 and tickets can be purchased from local shops and the club grounds on Tuesday evenings from 8 p.m. and from club members at a cost of €1.50. MODEL COUNTY DRAW

The first of the three draws in this year’s model county developmen­t draw took place on Wednesday evening last with the St Fintan’s club selling two winning tickets. The St Fintan’s club won the second prize of a Pettits SuperValu voucher to the value of €2,000 and Nicholas Rossitter c/o Walter Rossitter Hilltown won a cash prize to the value of €150.

The club benefits greatly based on the number of tickets sold for the draw and is pleased to announce that ticket sales were up greatly on last year and would like to say a sincere ‘Thank you’ to all those that purchased these tickets with a special word of thanks to all the sellers. We wish you all the best of good luck in the remaining draws.

DIGITAL SKILLS COURSE

Are you interested in doing a free six-week course in Tomhaggard social centre covering basic computer skills? Areas covered include online access and security, Government Services (pay Car Tax) online shopping, social media etc. You can bring your own laptop/tablet, or there are a number available to use.

INTERMEDIA­TE FOOTBALL

Innovate Wexford park was the venue when the St Fintan’s intermedia­te football team played St Mary’s of Rosslare in an Amber-Springs Ashdown Park Intermedia­te football championsh­ip group A game. Things did not go the way of the Ballymore-Mayglass men with St Mary’s taking the spoils on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-14.

ST FINTAN’S LADIES

Well done to the green team who where away to St Anne’s, as the game went on the girls really got into it and battled right to the end well done to all 13 girls involved. The the yellow team were at home to St Brigid’s/Blackwater on Monday the first at 6.30 and away to Sarsfields on Thursday, May 4, at 6.45 p.m. New two U Charity Boutique; we now need some more items to sell. If you are doing a spring clean please think of us and drop your unwanted items into the shop any time from Mon – Sat 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All donations greatly appreciate­d. Split-the-pot Multi Draw envelopes have been distribute­d to every home in the village along with an explanator­y letter, but it is really simple and is designed to help those who may be going away for a while or for our many 100’s of holiday home owners. You will now be able to ensure that you are in for the next 25 or 50 draws by making one single donation.

To make it easy for you we will accept bank transfer, cheque or cash. Of course the rest of us may continue to enter weekly through the usual outlets.

COIS BARRY HOUSE

Stop Food Waste Challenge in conjunctio­n with Wexford County Council – The course is continuing for one hour every Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in Cois Barry House, starting for the next three weeks. This is a completely free opportunit­y to help us reduce our household food bills. For more details drop into Léa in Cois Barry House.
