St. Helen’s Golf Resort under new management

-

St Helen’s Bay Golf Resort, since opening in 1993, has developed into one of Ireland’s foremost golf resorts. Ryder Cup hero Philip Walton took the challenge of forging a stern golfing test from the mixture of parkland and links, which is St. Helen’s Bay Golf Club - “Ireland’s sunniest golf course”. No golfer will fail to be impressed by the challenging closing holes, where club selection is vital to avoid the beach. The 17th and 18th holes also enjoy a dazzling crescent of beach and sparkling sea which accompany the fairways all the way home along with panoramic views of the bay and Tuskar Rock. These two holes are probably the best two finishing holes in Ireland. Early holes play on a gently rising landscape; afford lovely panoramic views of the Wexford coast and countryside.

Since January 2017 St. Helen’s Golf Resort has enjoyed a rebirth with new management and is progressively adapting to the challenges of a changing Golf Industry. One of these challenges is the fact that the younger demographic has less time to golf. We understand that this demographic has changed and have an increasing focus on family time and along with doing their math they’re dividing the annual dues by the number of times they play, to address this St. Helen’s introduced a very attractive offer with an Under 40 Full Annual Membership for only €499. Not forgetting our CGI programme “Get into Golf “which is now underway at St. Helen’s, this programme is perfect for those ladies who are new to Golf. It provides introductory lessons over a 4 week period with Darren Walsh PGA. Call now for more details.

Enjoying possibly one of the finest coastal locations in Ireland, St. Helen’s Clubhouse is also undergoing exciting changes and currently offers longer opening hours, extensive locally sourced food menus including, char grilled local prime cuts & the best of locally landed seafood. With a fully licensed bar you can enjoy pleasant company and a friendly welcome from our staff & members alike. In April 2017 a new “Sea-view Terrace” has been constructed, this area at the rear of the Clubhouse boosts a comfortable seating area for Al-Fresco dining or to just enjoy a drink alone or with friends, the added bonus is you can do this while enjoying the spectacular views that St. Helen’s Bay Golf Resort has to offer.

Green Fees from €20, booking advisable. Services include: Golf Rider Rentals (Single Seat), 2 Seat Golf Buggies & Pull Carts. Competitive Group Booking Rates.
