ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Members and intending members are reminded that membership fees are now due and can be paid any Tuesday, between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. in Oulart Community Centre. A cup of tea and a chat are available every Tuesday at 4 p.m. and members are encouraged to attend.

VARIETY CONCERT DVD

CAMOGIE NEWS

Leinster League Final – Well done to the senior girls on reaching the Leinster League Final which was played last Saturday, April 29. It was a very competitiv­e game with Rathnure winning by 1-11 to 2-04.

Junior League Final – A big congratula­tions to the junior girls on winning the Junior C (A) League last Monday, May 1. The girls defeated Oylegate by 0-18 to 1-07. Well done to everyone. A great start to the season.

Under-16: Well done to the under-16s on winning their second round Premier League/ Championsh­ip game against St Ibar’s on Wednesday, May 3. It was an exciting game with the final score 3-11 to 3-09. Keep up the good work.

Under-14: The under-14s play their third round Premier Championsh­ip match away to Cloughbawn next Monday, May 8, at 7.15 p.m. The team would really appreciate your support if you can come along. The girl played in the County Blitz last Monday, May 1, in Piercestow­n and performed very well. They won two of their three games, losing out to Kilrush in the semi-final. Keep up the good work.

FOOTGOLF FUNDRAISER

The camogie club and Coiste na nÓg Footgolf Féile fundraiser is proving to be very popular and due to demand tee times are now available on the evening of Friday, May 19. There are also some tee times still available for Saturday, May 20. If you would like to take part in this fun family event, please contact Patrick Fortune at 087 9339950 as soon as possible to book a tee time.

The event, which is being held in Blackwater Golf Course, costs €40 per team (4 people on a team) and it is suitable for age seven upwards. Please wear runners or flat soled shoes. CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

St Patrick’s Special School, Enniscorth­y, would to thank everyone who gave so generously to their recent church gate collection. A special thanks go to the collectors for all their time and help. The total amount collected was €286.70. All proceeds of the collection will be used for all the pupils in the school.

COLÁISTE AN ÁTHA

The parents’ associatio­n of Coláiste an Átha, Kilmuckrid­ge, will host its annual coffee morning in the Lounge of the Crosses Pub in Kilmuckrid­ge from 10 a.m. to midday on Friday, May 12. Tickets are available at the college reception during the school day or just come along on the day. There will be lots of door and raffle prizes.

The parents’ associatio­n are involved in many aspects of school life, helping out at the open night, the enrolment night, first year parents’ informatio­n evening, policy developmen­t and fundraisin­g to mention but a few. All are welcome to attend the coffee morning and your support will be very much appreciate­d.
