A FAMILY owned business run my Michael and Shirley O Connor situated in the heart of Carrig on Bannow a must stop for all – a family friendly coffee shop and restaurant serving a comprehensive menu of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinners and homemade delights.
A former Post Office over 40 years ago which was once the hub and meeting place of the village has now being reinvented once more by The Red Door
The Red Door is filled with its own unique character. It is a place where the busy world outside will pause for a moment where you can sit, unwind and enjoy the peace and charm around you while enjoying a delightful range of food and artisan tea and coffee.
The Red Door also opens on a Friday night from 7.00pm to 9.00pm with a dining experience that is not to be missed. This gives the opportunity to show people that The Red Door is more than just a coffee shop.
Built firmly on excellent quality food and service The Red Door has gained national recognition in being finalists in the National Restaurant Awards in 2015 / 2016, winner in 2016 of the South East Radio Awards for Best Casual dining and also winner of the National Enterprise Awards for Leinster 2016. The Red Door has only recently won the regional finals in the Bank of Ireland’s awards for Creative Retail.
To be a finalist for the Excellent Customer Service Award for the Wexford Chamber acknowledges that customer care, excellent customer service is key to the success of the The Red Door. The Red Door prides itself on their personal touch with a devoted team that ensures that your visit to The Red Door is memorable from start to finish.
This newly setup business is going from strength to strength and we look forward to seeing their planned projects materialise in the future.
