A fantastic day was had at the Wexford Slaney Cup Competition for under-14 girls in All Blacks AFC, Casey Park. Well done to all the teams and their coaches in a great two-day tournament. Thank you to Dara Ward and parents of our under-14s who provided refreshments and support to Wexford Schoolgirls league on the day. Congratulations to Wexford, who lifted the prized cup. Best of luck in your adventure for the next stage to Limerick.

The under-13s boys clinched the Division 1 League title on Wednesday evening with a 1-0 win over a excellent Wexford Celtic team. This game with both teams playing excellent football was always going to be tight and so it turned out to be. It began with Lee Kelly mading a superb save from Eoin O’Lionáin. The lads always looked dangerous with Ben Rossiter and Tadgh McDonald and Luc Farrell coming close. The goal arrived with 10 minutes remaining when Evan Cullen found Tadgh McDonald and he flicked it into the path of Ben Rossitter and he made no mistake with a left foot finish. Cheers rang out from the Blacks. From there on the lads defending was excellent but Celtic did have one last chance with a Jack Dempsey shot, which again ended with another superb save from Lee.

All the boys were excellent on the night with Conor Swan was outstanding in defence, Ben Rossitter up front was excellent but the MOTM goes to Lee Kelly, whose performance was excellent all night. So the three points gave the boys the league title.
