Members of County Wexford Youth Theatre’s youngest group aged from 12 to 14 years will perform their own take on a classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Three Golden Hairs in a double-bill with Showtime adapted from a Tim Etchell script at Wexford Arts Centre on Wednesday, May 24 at 8 pm. BROOKA BRASS BAND GIG The Sky and the Ground, Thursday, May 25

The eight-piece New Orleans-style Booka Brass Band will play a gig in the Sky and the Ground on Thursday, May 25 at 8 pm. Formed in 2012, the group have collaborat­ed with artists like The Frames, Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Paul Noonon, We Cut Corners and Jerry Fish and have played high-energy, self-penned tunes to appreciati­ve festival crowds at Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions and Longitude. LEGENDS OF AMERICAN COUNTRY National Opera House, June 2

The Legends of American Country comprising Rod McAuley, Joe Moore and Tracey McAuley and backing group Keltic Storm are coming to the National Opera House on June 2 for a night of toe-tapping classics including tributes to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, George Jones, Kenny Rogers, Patsy Cline and Don Williams. The authentic stage set will transport you all the way to Nashville. Tickets cost €25.
