CLIMB FOR JOY
Congratulations to the girls from O’Doherty’s Londis Alison Duggan, Celine Murphy and Joanne Golden, who climbed Carrauntoohill in aid of Pieta House and they raised an incredible amount of €1,500. It was a tough challenge but well worth it. We would like to thank everybody for their generous contributions, we raised well beyond our expectations.
TRACTOR RUN
The annual Tractor Run in aid of Scoil Mhuire, Broadway will take place on Sunday next, June 11, 2016. Registration is from midday and all participants will leave Our Lady’s Island Community Centre at 1 p.m. Fun and games, indoor and outdoor, from 12.30 p.m. Bangers and Mash, dessert, tea and coffee avilable for all from 12.30 p.m. Come along and enjoy a family fun day out in support of our local school.
ICA GUILD
The June meeting of the local ICA guild will take place on Monday, June 12, in the Community Hall at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome to our last meeting before the summer break.
BINGO
There was no jackpot winner last week so tonight our pot stands at €450. Don’t for get we also have a half book for the kids to join in too, half book means half the price but all of the fun. Get your dabbers at the ready for a 9 p.m. start in Butler’s.
GAA LOTTO
There was no winner of the GAA lotto last Tuesday night, meaning tonight’s jackpot goes up to €5,900. Tickets available locally and through club members. We had one match-three winner, Robert Cloney (seller Alan Cloney) with the numbers 4, 5, 7 and 33.
MODEL COUNTY DRAW
Well done to Maria Mullins, who was the winner of a €300 voucher for Tom Doyle Supplies in last Wednesday nights May Draw. Tickets for the final draw available by contacting Kevin Kehoe.
EXAM TIME
It’s that time of the year again when all the studying and all the cramming gets put to use. Our Lady’s Island GAA Club would like to wish all its members and their friends, who start their exams tomorrow, the very best over the coming weeks.
