COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €6,100. The winning numbers were 1, 2, 8 and 14. Congratula­tions to the five match-three winners who received each €40. The matchthree winners were Anne Hore, Bridie Lambert, Donna Doyle, Danny Kenny and Tom and Lainie Power. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, June 20, and the jackpot now stands at €6,300.

KICKSTART PRESCHOOL

Kickstart Preschool: an early learning academy for preschoole­rs aged two to five years, is delighted to announce it’s opening in Rathangan hall this coming September 2017. Please phone 086 3365018 to receive an informatio­n pack, Only 11 Free Ecce places are available, so provisiona­l booking is advised. We will be holding an open day late June where we look forward to meeting everyone.

FASTNET ROVERS FC

An FAI summer Soccer Camp will be held at Fastnet Rovers on the week commencing August 7. To book a place at the camp go to summersocc­erschools.ie.

TIDY TOWNS

Duncormick Area Action Group has once again entered this year’s Tidy Town’s Competitio­n with judging from June-August. We are appealing to everyone to help us in obtaining better results this year and be proud of our village. We would also like to ask everyone to use the litter bins provided in the village.

CÚL CAMPS

This year’s Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp for both boys and girls covering Football, Hurling and camogie will take place in St Anne’s GAA Club Grounds from Monday, July 17, to Friday, July 21. Children will get to learn GAA games from qualified coaches in a safe and fun environmen­t. Children from six to 13 years. Cost of Cúl Camp this year is as follows: First Child €60, second Child €50, third child and subsequent children €40 each.

COLLECTION OF NAMES

We are compiling a collection of names of local fields, places and structures and, where possible their meaning. Forms have been left in Church Porches and halls of both Rathangan and Cleariesto­wn. Your contributi­on to this project will be appreciate­d now and for future generation­s. Supported by INTREO CE and TUS.

KILLAG SHOW

The annual Bannow and Rathangan Show takes place in Killag on July 13 Schedules are now available to download from the website bannowrath­anganshow.com or from secretary Liz Freeman at 087 7560871. Closing Date for entries is Tuesday, June 27.

SOCIAL EVENING

A Social Evening takes place in Mary Teresa Redmond’s, Millview, Foulksmill­s on Saturday, July 8, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event is in aid of Co. Wexford Community Workshop (Enniscorth­y) CLG. Refreshmen­ts will be served all evening. There will be musical entertainm­ent on stage with many talented musicians and a bouncy castle for the children. Please support this worthy cause and bring along a friend.

GET WELL WISHES

Rathangan parish council would like to wish Fr Denis Doyle PP Kilmore a speedy recovery from his recent illness.

PATRON DATES

The annual Cleariesto­wn Patron and Field day has been postponed to Sunday, July 9. Kilmannon and Ballyconni­ck Patrons remain on June 30 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. respective­ly.

St Fintan’s annual collection St Fintant’s annual collection will take place in Rathangan and Cleariesto­wn on June 24/25.
