Fun for all ages at the Kilrane Rosslare Harbour tops event

Top off your weekend with some family fun at the Kilrane-Rosslare Harbour Tops Community event from Friday, July 21, to Sunday, July 23.

There will be marching bands, dancing, face-painting, balloon modelling, a puppet show, tug-of-war, bouncy castles, foot darts, a variety of stalls, a crab fishing competitio­n, the baking competitio­n, live open air music and raffles, something to suit all ages.

Call in to the Memorial Garden in Rosslare Harbour Saturday, July 22, at 12 noon for a chance to win at the Selfie Scavenger Hunt. Collect your map, follow the clues, take a selfie and come back to the garden by 1 p.m. to collect your great prize.

Kids can enter the Children’s Talent Show in Hotel Rosslare Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. where a small prize will be given to every child who entertains the audience. You can sing, dance, do magic, say a poem, act or do some gymnastics, there will be no judging.

Show off your skills by entering in the Baking Competitio­n, entries are to be delivered to the Railway Social Club Hall before noon Sunday, July 23. The junior section will include: three queen cakes decorated with butter cream icing, three scone of any flavour and four items suitable for a school lunch box.

The adult section will have: brown soda bread, apple or rhubarb tart, six cupcakes decorated with fondant icing, six scone of any flavour, jam sponge, pot of jam of any flavour. It is €2 per entry.

The Maritime Centre in Rosslare Harbour will host an exhibition called ‘A Maritime History of County Wexford Through Photograph­s’ from the John Power collection. It will run from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
