Patricia loved spending time with her family
Patricia Gazeley (81) from Lakelands, Bridgetown has sadly passed away and was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She will be missed by sons Colin, Tony, Chris and Ian, daughters Mandy and Yvonne, sister Dot, brother Alan, grandchildren David, Shane, Martin, Jennie, Sophie, Tamzin, Neil, Kirsty, Victoria, Leo, Gavin, Josh, Jade, Leanne and late Paige, her two great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Ann.
Patricia was born January 26, 1936 and grew up in Wexford town, she loved living in Wexford and spoke of fond memories of her childhood there.
Even in her later years Patricia enjoyed doing the weekly shopping on Thursdays in town and shopping usually ended with a bowl of soup in a restaurant. But, she always had one rule and that was you picked her up on time to go shopping.
She was a very religious lady and her faith meant so much to her, she would pray at her altar every morning and night. Patricia would always be happy when her priest would come to visit her the first Friday of every month.
She was a proud family lady and her kids and grandchildren meant so much to her, she never forgot a birthday and even at Christmas she would spoil them with presents. Her happiest time was when she had her family around her.
Two of her hobbies were going to bingo and baking, even though she loved going to bingo her main hobby was baking and she was very well known for her homemade quiches.
Patricia lived for her holidays to Killarney where she would visit the beautiful ring of Kerry, the Gap of Dunloe and the town itself. She would often enjoy a coffee while looking out at the mountains with a great smile on her face.
She had great time for her dog Bailey and would start every morning by giving him two rich tea biscuits.
Patricia was laid to rest in the new cemetery in Kilmore after a requiem mass in St David’s Church, Mulrankin. Ar dheis dé go raibh a hanam dhílis.
