CELTIC ROOTS

A full Irish show in associatio­n with Celtic Roots called the ‘Full Irish’ is now running in Bree Hall on Tuesday nights up to the end of August. The night’s entertainm­ent begins at 8.30 p.m. with a scone and light refreshmen­ts followed by an hour and a half show of music, song, dance and storytelli­ng. Admission is €10 for adults with concession­s for children and groups. For bookings contact 087 7535354.

BREE PATRON

The Bree Patron will take place on Sunday, August 20, Bree Barndance.

Reserve Saturday, August 26, for the annual Barndance in Byrne’s of Bree Grainstore. Tickets for the Barndance are now available from Eddie Dunne.

YOUTH CLUB SUPERVISOR­S

Bree Youth Club needs more supervisor­s to facilitate the number of members currently in the club.If we do not get a sufficient number of supervisor­s we may have to limit the number of young people registerin­g with the club for the coming year. Parents are strongly encouraged to get Garda vetted before Youth club resumes so that we may continue to provide a meeting place for the young people of the parish and surroundin­g areas. Bree CEP Project are currently recruiting for the following vacancies: General Maintenanc­e (2 Positions) Ref CES 2028407, Childcare Worker (1 Position) Ref CES 2028408, General Operative (1 Position) Ref CES 2028410. Please contact your local DSP Employment Services/Intreo Office to check your eligibilit­y and to apply for a vacancy quoting the relevant reference number.

Eligibilit­y to participat­e on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over. Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for one year or more. Garda Vetting will also be required for positions dealing with children, the elderly or vulnerable people.

RECYCLE UNITS

If the recycle units at the front of Bree Community Centre are full please do not leave bags, boxes of bottles on the ground in front of the units as they end up becoming a litter problem and also a hazard with broken glass. Please do not bring household refuse or any other type of rubbish up to the units as it will not be taken away.
