New Alley scoreboard

-

BUFFERS ALLEY G.A.A. club is proud to be the new owners of an electronic scoreboard and clock thanks to the generous joint sponsorship by two local business families.

And it certainly got a serious test when it was used at the recent Askamore versus Craanford Intermediate hurling championship derby, with the former edging the latter by 2-21 to 3-16.

Áine O’Meara, on behalf of the club’s sponsorship committee, stated: ‘Buffers Alley is delighted that Colm Hearne and Shay Hammel have sponsored our scoreboard, it is great to have this state of the art facility to enhance what we have here already in the club.

‘We are very proud of all the amenities both outside and inside our premises in Monamolin, and it is through the generosity of so many local businesses such as Hammel’s Centra and Hearne Line Marking that we can continue to provide so many initiatives for our members.’

Speaking at the recent launch, David Hughes (Chairman) expressed his gratitude to the many sponsors and volunteers within the club and issued an open invitation to everyone in the area to join Buffers Alley and enjoy the many facilities and activities on offer for our youth which are so important in the development of our young people.

Our local business community are an integral part of the G.A.A. club and he urged everyone to support the business community who sponsor the club as we plan and build for the future together.

Both sponsors said that they were happy to be involved with this partnership with Buffers Alley and wished the club every success in the coming months and in the years ahead.
