More additions to Spiegeltent line-up
IRISH chart toppers The Riptide Movement and musician Lisa Hannigan have been added to an already exciting line-up for the Wexford Spiegeltent Festival in October.
The Riptide Movement whose live shows are legendary, will perform on bank holiday Sunday October 29. The band had the honour of closing the 2016 Spiegeltent Festival with a gig regarded as one of the best ever at the quayfront venue.
Irish singer/songwriter Lisa Hannigan will perform two shows on Wednesday, October 25, including an afternoon show for all ages and a night show.
Since arriving on the music scene with the release of her Mercury-nominated debut solo album Sea Sew in 2008, Lisa has toured the world delivering performances described as mesmerising and captivating.
Tickets for both the Riptide Movement and Lisa Hannigan will go on sale on Friday, August 11 at 9 a.m.
Festival organisers have also announced the return of the Halloween Ball Freak Fantastique with a Spooktacular sideshow, death defying aerial stunts, a special appearance by Booka Brass band, devilish DJ’s and burlesque performances. The show is strictly over 18’s and tickets are on sale now.
The ever popular Prohibition Party will return on Friday, October 20 with guests invited to dress in the style of the Great Gatsby and allow themselves to be transported to the hedonism of the Roaring Twenties. Cocktails will be served in teacups and a swing band will provide the musical entertainment.
