After a last-minute mix-up, Karl makes sure Ronan and Eva roll up to debs in style

-

A PUBLIC plea put out on Facebook last week meant that one lucky former Enniscorthy Vocational College student got to the Debs in great style on Thursday evening. Ronan Donohoe from Monageer was looking slick as he rocked up to the debs in a white Rolls Royce along with his date Eva Joyce. However, Ronan’s exceptional entrance nearly didn’t happen as a mix-up with dates meant that his father Seán was let down on a Rolls Royce to bring his son to the debs at the last minute. Not being a common sight on roads around Enniscorthy, a Rolls Royce can be difficult to come by, but with a little help from social media, Sean ensured his son rolled off to the debs in style.

‘A cousin of mine had arranged a Rolls Royce for him,’ Seán explained. ‘Then there was a mix-up and the man that was to drive them realised that he was going away on holidays.

‘Ronan’s brothers all had a Rolls Royce to take them to the debs, so he wanted something similar.

‘I contacted a few friends then and posted on Facebook to Wexford Motor Club. Ger Kielthy from the club couldn’t have been more helpful and he shared it around along with a friend of mine PJ Martin.

‘In the end, Karl Swaine came back to us and said that he’d drive them in in his white Rolls Royce.’

Karl certainly came to the rescue and Ronan and Eva certainly turned a few heads as they rocked up in a pristine white Roller! Sean thanked everyone involved in ensuring that Ronan and Eva rolled up to their big night in style.
