CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
A church gate collection in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation will take place at all Mass in Carrig this weekend August 12/13. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
SEISIUN
Danescastle Music Group will host Seisiun in Horse and Hound, Ballinaboola every Tuesday evenings at 8.30 p.m. An evening of traditional music, song and dance. Come and enjoy a great evening’s entertainment for all the family.
SOCIAL DANCING
dancing continues in Tír na nÓg every Thursday night from 9.30 p.m. with music this Thursday, August 10, by Michael Ellard, August 17 by Jimmy Hogan and Lar Kenny, August 24 Bandit and August 31 Dick and Ted. All are welcome, refreshments served.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Teach na nÓg will be offering an Afterschool Facility from August 31. This will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. This will be funded under the Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) Scheme, which enables parents who have a medical card or are in receipt of a social welfare payment, to avail of the service at a reduced rate. Our over-35s face Campile over-35s at home in the last league fixture of the season this Friday, August 11, at 7.30 p.m. if your around why not come over and support these ‘young’ men.
The Corach men’s awards night takes place this Saturday, August 12.

GAA CLUB NOTES
This Tuesdays lotto will take place for the first time up in St James Mersheen. Jackpot is €11,600 and tickets can be purchased from the post office Carrig, Seabreeze Laundrette Carrig, Tír na nÓg, Wellingtonbridge, and from any Club Officer down around Grantstown.
Junior hurling championship takes place this Sunday, August 13, in Kilurin at 12 o’clock.
The Junior Ladies camogie have two important games this week against Clongeen an Craanford.

BANNOW FOLK DRAW

Carrig patron will be on Sunday, August 13, in Carrig church at 7 p.m. Bannow patron is on Tuesday, August 15, at 7 p.m. Shemogues patron is on Sunday, August 20, at 7 p.m. will run on Wednesdays from 7.15 p.m. for the fee of €2 payg. All welcome come along and give it a go. Families and young adults are especially welcome.
