The Parish Patron takes place on Sunday next, August 13, with Mass in Our Lady’s Island at 3 p.m. followed by procession to cemetery for blessing of graves. Approximate time for St Iver’s graveyard – 4.30 p.m. Old Cemetery OLI. – 4.50 p.m. Churchtown – 5.15 p.m.

QUIZ NIGHT

OLI./Tacumshane senior citizens Quiz Night takes place this Wednesday, August 9. in the Lighthouse Bar, Carne at 9.30 p.m. If anyone would like to donate a prize for our raffle on the night it would be much appreciated.

COFFEE SHOP

Community Centre Coffee Shop open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will have beautiful fresh home-baking and sandwiches on offer. Looking forward to seeing you all again. We are now taking orders for flowers for the Patrons. Full display in Coffee Shop.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratulations to Allison O’Doherty, Lady’s Island on winning €209 in last week’s split-thepot draw. Draw takes place in the Community Hall on Sunday after Mass. Thanks to all involved.

YOUTH PILGRIMAGE

Youth Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Island is on Saturday, August 12. Pilgrims are welcome to join us at 2.30 p.m. in Tomhaggard to walk to Our Lady’s Island for Mass at 7 p.m. This will be followed by a talk for youth and a barbecue.
