The Wexford Ladies Choir are back after a little break away and treated family to an invite-only end-of-year concert, which they held in the Talbot Hotel, Wexford.

The 40 choir members put on a great show where they sang eight pieces one after the other, which was led by new musical director Greg Currid and accompanied by pianist Fiona Kelly.

For their musical evening the choir delighted the audience with songs such as ‘I Have a Dream’, ‘Unchained Melody’, ‘Love Grows Here’, ‘As Long as I Have Music’, ‘Rhythm of Life’, ‘On a Clear Day’, ‘The Prayer’ and ‘Glory of Love’.

Chairperson Imelda Duggan thanked the President Jean Cal- laghan on the night for all her hard work during the year and being so active with the choir.

Imelda said they ‘will be back after the summer, September 5 to be exact’ and are currently looking for additional members which can be of any age.

If anyone is interested in joining Wexford Ladies Choir they can contact Imelda on, 087 1260185 or call into the Friary Church, where they often hold their rehearsals.

The coming year the ladies will be celebrating their 30 year anniversary as a choir and will have many social outings, including their trip October 12 to Saigon.

Imelda said they are looking forward to the coming year as musical director Greg has provided them with new music from different genres.
