STUDY CENTRE

Study Centre at Wellington­bridge will reopen September 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students interested in attending please register at Study centre on Wednesday, August 23, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. There are limited number of places and priority will go to third, fifth and sixth year students. GAA CLUB NOTES

Lotto numbers were 4, 11, 28 and 30. There were nine matchthree winners including our own, Shauna Breen and David Currid. Next jackpot will be 11,900.

The Ladies’ Football present the two Johnnies in Tir na nog on September 23 Tickets for the night are only €15. Check the two Johnnies out on their Facebook page. More details next week.

The run and dye 5km will take place on Sunday, September 27. Contact Bid O’Sullivan for more details.

The club has being selected as a Tesco charity in the Tesco Wexford. So if your shopping please support the club with the blue tokens in the bucket provided. This takes place for eight weeks.

Both the junior and intermedia­te football teams lost their matches. The junior lost out to Cushinstow­n and the intermedia­te loosing to St Mary’s Maulditown.

The ladies camogie had a great win over Clongeen last week. They take on St Martin’s this week. Check out our Facebook page and Twitter account for correct venue’s and times as they change regularly.

The ladies’ football and ladies camogie have their own Facebook pages give them a like to see when and where their matches are on and their venues.

MUSICAL SOCIETY

After a well-earned break, The Little Sea Musical Society will recommence on September 6 at 8 p.m. in Kiltra School of music.

The society will focus on preparing for two concerts in the upcoming season. The first production is to be a Christmas Show to include scenes from the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstei­n, followed by Choruses from Handle’s Messiah and some Classic Christmas Carols. In May 2018, the KSM Young Voices Ensemble and the South Wexford Orchestra for Primary Schools (SWOPS) will open our summer Concert. Following this, the Little Sea Musical Society will showcase musical melodies along with some choral singing to include the famous chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi’s Nabucco.

SAD PASSING

Deepest sympathy to the Davey/Roche/Walsh families Bannow on the death of their sister Mary White née Davey St Leonards last Wednesday. Mary is survived by her husband Willie daughters Louise, Kathleen, Annette and Margaret sons Michael, Frank, William and Brendan, sisters Marge and Kathleen brothers Dai and Michael relatives and friends. Mary reposed at her home for Thursday and Friday and was removed to St Leonards church on Saturday for midday Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.

MCCALL’S COTTAGES

This weekend sees the practical completion of the seven McCall’s Cottages in Rathangan. The homes will be open for general public viewing after the patron on August 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The homes are not yet fully let so they are open for enquiries and interest from anyone considerin­g a move. Danescastl­e Music Group will host Seisiun in Horse and Hound, Ballinaboo­la every Tuesday evenings at 8.30. An evening of traditiona­l music, song and dance. Come and enjoy a great evening’s entertainm­ent for all the family.
