WEXFORD Bus has a network of frequent services to Waterford (WIT), Carlow (Carlow IT) and Dublin (for UCD, TCD, DCU & DIT’s) scheduled to suit students traveling to and from college by bus. With a comprehens­ive choice of services, free wi-fi and a warm welcome there has never been a better time to commute by bus on a daily or weekly basis.

On the Wexford to Waterford route Wexford Bus services WIT with a choice of morning services leaving Wexford at 06.30, 07.45, 08.45 and 10.30 and regular evening services coming back towards New Ross and Wexford. Commuting to WIT on a daily basis is an affordable and manageable option with weekly 10 journey tickets costing only €45

On the Dublin City & Airport route there is a choice of up to 19 northbound and 19 southbound services to choose from so you can arrive on time for your first lecture, whatever time that may start at! Travelling along the M11 route Wexford Bus services UCD, Trinity and DIT. DCU and St Pat’s are serviced at selected times.

A significan­t portion of our daily Dublin commuters are students. The daily express commuter service, between Wexford and Dublin city is ideal for those travelling to Dublin for work, college or pleasure and stops close to Cherrywood (to connect with the Green Luas Line), UCD, Leeson Street, Clare Street (National Gallery), Customs House Quay and the North Wall Quay (O2 Arena).

This service provides a very reasonable alternativ­e to students considerin­g moving to Dublin. “We are very aware of the financial pressures that students are under and have a weekly ticket at a very competitiv­e student rate of €65 from Wexford or Oylgate and €60 from all other locations. For those travelling up and down on a weekly basis we have a promotiona­l €9 student single fare that is available with a Student Leap Card.” commented Crowley.

The relatively new 376 Route between Wexford and Carlow via Enniscorth­y and Bunclody is already proving to be very popular with students. The schedule suits students who are communting daily and additional services operate on Fridays and over the weekend for those that will be traveling home just for the weekend.

Users of Wexford Bus can benefit from the convenienc­e of using a Leap Card to pay for their trips. Students can get a personalis­ed Student Leap card which will enable them to load their weekly tickets to their card or avail of the special student rate with a Leap Student Card. In addition, the Travel Credit on this card can be used for travel on our Local Wexford Bus Connect Service, Dublin Bus, Dart or Luas while in the city.

Regular users are also encouraged to download the Wexford Bus App from the iTunes App Store. This enables passengers to track live bus positions, predict arrival times and view the timetable.
