Fines were recorded against learner permit holders who failed to exhibit L plates or who were caught on the road unaccompan­ied by qualified drivers:

Patrick Connors (19) of Pallace East, New Ross, fined a total of €200;

Rachael McMahon, 42 Cois Mara, Rosslare, fined €300 for having no qualified driver;

Mary Cash (20), 20 Barrett’s Park, New Ross, fined €300 for having no qualified driver.
