DANCING AT CAMROSS

Liam Mannering brought the usual large number of dancers to Camross on Friday, September 1. last and all danced it out till the early hours and went home sweatin. The October first Friday dance will be held on Friday the sixth and the very popular Checkers will be the band on the night. Dancing from 10 p.m. till late, admission is €8 including the tea.

CAMROSS PASSION PLAY

Almost six years have passed since the Passion Play was last performed in Camross Hall and also in the National Opera House. The Passion Play committee are pleased to announce that plans for the 2018 production are on schedule.

Michael Stafford will once again take on the onerous task of director following his huge success in 2012. Vicki Barron and Anita Cullen will take on the role of Musical Directors and we can be assured that both ladies will do an amazing job.

There will be a meeting for all people interested in being part of this production on Wednesday, November 15, 8 p.m. in Camross Hall. You will be kept in touch.

Dates arranged for Passion Play 2018, Palm Sunday, March 25, Tuesday, March 27, Good Friday, March 30, and Easter Sunday, April 1.

PAROCHIAL MEETING

There will be a meeting for the people of Trinity and Caroreigh areas to discuss the renovation of the parochial house in Caroreigh on this Thursday, September 14, at 8 p.m. in the Old School, Caroreigh. All welcome to attend.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

Dates for our three One-act plays have been announced: Friday, October 13 – St Michael’s Hall, Wexford; Sunday, October 15 – Camross Hall; Sunday, October 22 – St Mary’s Hall, Fethard-on-Sea. All performanc­es 8 p.m. And €10 on door

PARISH COMMITTEE

Taghmon Parish committee held a meeting on Tuesday, August 29.

A vote of sympathy was passed to Paul, Caitriona, Chris, Brian and extended family on the sad passing on Ann Hannon. A minute’s silence was held.

Ann was a member of the parish committee since its inception and worked tirelessly for the good of the parish and school, and helped with many fundraisin­g events and was particular­ly helpful in organising fundraisin­g for St Fintan’s Church Restoratio­n. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
