THRESHING/FIELD DAY

Blackwater Vintage Club’s annual Vintage Threshing and Field day will take place in Blackwater village on Saturday, September 30, at 1 p.m. Other attraction­s include bottle stall, dog show, live music and dancing with Declan, vintage display and many more. Refreshmen­ts will be served. A great family day out is guaranteed.

FUNDRAISER NIGHT

Tickets are now on sale for ‘Our Fight for Darren’ Dance night which takes place on Sunday, September 24, in Whites Hotel Wexford, music by Joe Davitt country band and Heartbeats and the Moynihans. Doors open at 7 p.m. Door prizes on the night include a first prize of a B&B evening meal at the Amber Springs hotel, Gorey, with lots more prizes guaranteed.

There will also be a dance competitio­n with prizes on the night. Tickets cost €15 and are available from Whites hotel, Leisure Max or contact Paraic O’Leary at 087 7165464 or Katie Lacey at 087 1853861.

COTS TRAINING

Kilmuckrid­ge COTS (Career Opportunit­ies Training Scheme) is a WWETB (formerly Fás) training centre located in Kilmuckrid­ge and is aimed at people in receipt of a social welfare payment between the ages of 18 and 35. We are offering the opportunit­y to complete a Level five in Retail Practice with additional subjects: payroll, and book keeping.
