Situated on picturesque Crescent Quay, Wexford, is the long-established and very successful firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Asple & Co. Asple & Co offer an extensive range of services including: audit and accounting, banking and business advisory, pension advisory, payroll and VAT services, personal taxation, corporate taxation and estate planning and wealth management.
The firm was founded by Denis Asple on South Main Street, Wexford, in 1976 and has grown to be one of the largest in the South East now with 4 partners including Denis’ son Stefan Asple, Noel Cummins and Sean Mernagh, all of whom are experts in their respective fields.
As a firm, Asple & Co have always adapted dynamically to the changing regulatory environment, embracing technology changes and most recently have implemented a paperless office, certainly one of the first in Ireland to do so. With impending changes in Data Protection Laws fast approaching in 2018, the firm is at the forefront of ensuring its clients information is treated confidentially and sensitively.

Asple & Co prides itself on being an ACCA Gold Employer, which means full-time graduate accountants can work towards their ACCA qualification in an environment that facilitates the motivation and determination required by students to balance full-time employment with study.
Asple & Co also offer an internship programme through Waterford Institute of Technology and University of Limerick in which interns complete a six months work program during their college degree that gives the student a feel for whether accountancy is the path to take.
Lisa Cosgrave, a 24-year old from Kilanerin, Gorey is a qualified accountant with Asple & Co. After studying for three years in UCD, Lisa joined the Asple & Co graduate program and recently achieved first place in the world in Paper P7 of her
ACCA exams. She was presented with an award from the Global President of ACCA Brian McEnery at a ceremony held in the Westbury Hotel, Dublin, last May.
ACCA is a very flexible organisation and this attracted Lisa, as she could sit an exam when it suited her, or she could sit as many in the one year.
In the long-term Lisa hopes to gain her ACCA practising certificate and to really progress in her career of public practise and having now successfully qualified as an ACCA accountant, with the support of the firm, is progressing her career path by undertaking the tax exams through the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.
