-

WEXFORD ENTERED two teams in the Under-12 Leinster L.G.F.A. blitz which took place in Rathleague, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, recently.

Both panels consisted of 22 players representing 23 clubs. We congratulate both teams’ players and their management under the guidance of Peter O’Brien of Bannow-Ballymitty and his selectors: Jenny O’Brien (Clongeen), Nicola Fortune (Kilmore), Aaron O’Neill (Rathgarogue-Cushinstown), Shane Murphy (Starlights) and Nicholas Delahunty (Davidstown-Courtnacuddy).

We also say thank you to Yvonne O’Neill for her help on what was a successful day for Wexford ladies’ football, winning the Division 2 and Division 5 titles.

We thank the many volunteers within our clubs and schools for their time, commitment and dedication to our sport.

Without your help and guidance we would not have the players coming through the ranks.

Thanks to parents/guardians, family and friends who support and encourage their daughters, be it driving to training sessions or games.

We thank Leinster L.G.F.A. for organising the blitzes during the year and their many volunteers who co-ordinated on the day.
