Fined for theft of beer kegs

THOMAS O’Donohoe (52) with an address at 11 Skeffingto­n Street, Wexford was convicted in his absence of theft when his case was considered at the District Court.

He was responsibl­e for the taking of two beer kegs from Mooney’s on the quay in Wexford on July 10.

The accused had been given time to pay compensati­on to the pub but no evidence was to hand that this had happened.

Solicitor Raymond Rowan was present in court but he had received no instructio­ns offer the judge from his absent client.

A fine of €300 was imposed.
