Maths Week is here

MORE than 7,000 students from 20 Wexford schools have so far registered to take part in Maths Week, which runs from Saturday, October 14, to Sunday, October 22.

Billed as the world’s largest festival of maths and numeracy, world-renowned mathematic­ians will be on hand to entertain people of all ages with the wonder of maths through fun and interestin­g talks, games, teasers, challenges and magic maths shows.

Schools across Wexford have so far registered 7,130 students, out of 250,000 nationwide, to take part, with many more expected to make it the biggest Maths Week celebratio­n to date.

County Wexford schools registered so far are: Boolavogue NS, Davidstown NS, Glynn NS, Gorey Educate Together, Mercy NS, Wexford, Monageer NS, New Ross Educate Together, Our Lady of Fatima School, Our Lady of Lourdes NS, Oylegate NS, Saint Leonards, Scoil Ghormáin Naofa, Scoil Mhuire, Our Lady’s Island, Screen NS, SN Seosamh Naofa, Bree NS, St Margaret’s NS, Curracloe, St Senan’s NS, St Aidan’s NS, Enniscorth­y, Bridgetown College, Coláiste an Atha, Coláiste Bride, Creagh College, FCJ Bunclody, Gorey Community School, St Marys, New Ross, and St Mary’s CBS.
