Drive results in a second conviction

A DRIVE in a Mercedes undertaken by Shauna Hurley of 68 Meadow Avenue, Whitebrook, Wexford came back to haunt the 27-year-old once more.

She was a learner permit holder at the time of the offence detected by Garda Mark Power at Whitebrook in July of last year but had no qualified driver with her in the car.

The garda confirmed that Ms Hurley had already sustained a conviction for drink driving at a previous court sitting, a matter which arose from the same incident.

Already banned from driving for three years, the lack of qualified accompanying driver earned the accused an additional fine of €60.
