Seaview make a big statement

Ballindagg­in AFC 0, Seaview United 4: Seaview made their mark in the Premier Division when they travelled to Ballycarne­y and overcame last season’s champions Ballindagg­in 4-0.

Ava White-Keating was in spectacula­r scoring form with a hat-trick while Ruby Murphy also got her name on the scoresheet.

Curracloe United 2, All Blacks 1: Curracloe opened their season with a 2-1 win at home to All Blacks.

Aughrim Rangers 2, North End United 0: North End made the long journey to Aughrim but were unable to break down the home side who eventually scored twice to secure all three points. Abigail Whitney and Laci Jane Shannon scored the vital goals for the home side.

Adamstown 6, Forth Celtic 0: Karolina Jaglarz and Ellen Duggan scored two each as Adamstown proved too strong for a young Forth Celtic side. Cora Banville and Sinéad Roche were also on target for an impressive home side.

St. Joseph’s 2, Moyne Rangers 4: A Cassie O’Rourke hat-trick set Moyne on the way to three points as they did just enough to overcome a hard-working St. Joseph’s side.

Sarah Walsh and Rita Redmond were on target for the home side while Kelsey Ryan scored Moyne’s other goal.

Gorey Rangers 12, Arklow Town 0: Rangers proved much too strong for a young Arklow Town side and were always in control in this 12-0 win. Lola Paradinas scored five with Hannah Redmond getting four to add to two goals from Yasmine Allain and one from Siun Murdiff.

Rosslare Rangers 0, Bunclody A.F.C. 8: Bunclody returned to Under-14 soccer with a comfortabl­e win away to Rosslare Rangers who could not handle the firepower of the visitors.

Corie Fitzgerald scored a hattrick and Catherine O’Connor added two goals, with Rebecca O’Connor, Katie Moynihan and Elena Moore all getting one each.

St. Cormac’s 7, Rosslare Strand 1: St. Cormac’s opened their Under-14 season with a win as they overcame a young Rosslare Strand side 7-1.

Nina May Brady scored for the visitors but two goals each from Emerson Doran, Sophie Kirwan and Bronagh Kenny as well as one from Jessica Foran gave the home side the points.

New Ross Celtic 8, Seaview United seconds 2: Celtic opened their season with a win against Seaview’s second team who put up a better performanc­e than the scoreline shows.

Charlotte Morrissey and Molly O’Hara were on target for the visitors but four goals for Casey Murphy, two for Caoimhe Keher-Murtagh, and one each for Kelly Corbett and Ciara Mullaly gave the home side victory.
