‘Move the buses,’ says Cllr. Kiernan

Wexford’s Cllr. Dominic Kiernan says that Bus Eireann should be stopped from parking their buses at the spaces in front of Wexford Railway Station.

He said that CIE were asked in the past to provide their own spaces. They have not done so, and have ‘never shown any intention of doing so’, he says.

‘I wouldn’t give them an inch, never mind all the spaces there,’ he added.

His comments came as part of a general crticism of people who park in the Redmond Square area.

He said that people are blatantly breaking the law by parking on the square every day.

‘Traffic wardens will have to be on the ball in this area. These people are just too lazy to use the Dunnes Stores car park and walk back,’ he said.
