Christmas cards for turkeys are now under way in Hotel Curracloe and take place every Thursday at 9 p.m. Partners 45 with an open draw. You must play six nights minimum to qualify for the Christmas grand final
DEVELOPMENT LOTTO
results of the Curracloe United lotto draw for Sunday, October 1, The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 22 and 25. There was no jackpot winner and two match-three winners who each received €75, Marion Murphy, Windermere, Curracloe and Mat Bones, Curracloe. The weekly draw takes place every Sunday night at 9 p.m and tickets are available from committee members.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of Curracloe Community Playgroup Ltd will be held on Monday, October 16, at 8 p.m. in the community centre.
SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Shelmalier Crossabeg School of music is back on Tuesdays from 3.15 p.m. to 6 p.m. New students welcome. Class Instruments include Guitar beginners and intermediate. Tin whistle beginners and intermediate. Bodhran, Banjo, Mandolin, Keyboard, Fiddle Singing and Button accordian.
Classes cost €7 for one instrument, €10 for two instruments/ class which includes band practice for 20 minutes every week.

BEST LOCAL PUB
Congratulations to the management and staff of the Porter House, Castlebridge, who won the Best Local Pub for the South East which was sponsored by Diageo at the Irish Pub Awards in Clonmel on October 2 the Porter House is now entered into the national finals which take place on November 8 in Dublin. We wish them the best of luck.
