YOUTH CLUB

Youth Club takes place in Crossabeg national school on Friday, October 13, from eight – 10 p.m. New members welcome.

SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Shelmalier Crossabeg School of music is back on Tuesdays from 3.15 p.m. to 6 p.m. New students welcome. Class Instrument­s include Guitar beginners and intermedia­te. Tin whistle beginners and intermedia­te. Bodhran, Banjo, Mandolin, Keyboard, Fiddle Singing and Button accordian.

Classes cost €7 for one instrument, €10 for two instrument­s/ class which includes band practice for 20 minutes every week.

COMMUNITY TEXT ALERT

Fire Officer Ray Murphy will be in attendance at a meeting of Crossabeg Community Text Alert which will take place at Kyle Forge on Saturday, October 14, between 11 a.m. And 12.30 p.m. He will talk about the necessity of having smoke alarms in the home and he will make available free smoke alarms to those householde­rs who do not have any in their homes. These alarms are easy to install and have a battery life of up to 10 years. Please note that these alarms are for the general public and not solely for members of Text Alert.
