Most have water and power restored

ALL public water supplies have been restored across Wexford in the wake of ex-Hurricane Ophelia.

Wexford County Council confirmed yesterday (Monday) that supply had been restored to all areas.

‘All public water supplies have been restored following Storms Ophelia and Brian. We are experiencing a localised intermittent outage in Ballyhack as a result of a pump issue which we are working on getting resolved.

‘If members of the public on public water supply are experiencing issues of no water today they should log a call with Irish Water on 1850 278 278 so that issue can be attended by Wexford County Council crews.’

Similarly electricity has been restored to the majority of homes in the district. According to the ESB Powerchecker 50 premises are without power.

In the Mulgannon area 12 premises are without power since 8.27 a.m. on Sunday, October 23 and there is no estimated time for its return.

In the Lower Galbally area 12 premises have been without power since 5.13 p.m. last Wednesday, October 18. The estimated time of restoration was last night at 9.15 p.m. In Crane eleven premises are without power since 20.21 p.m. on Friday night last. Similar to Lower Galbally the estimated restoration was last night at 9.15 p.m.

In the Currarcloe area 15 premises are without power since 11.28 a.m. last Friday with an estimated time of restoration of 8 p.m. this evening (Tuesday).
