Glynn Barntown hit Wexford Celtic for six DIVISION 4A

DIVISION 4A leaders Glynn-Barntown continued their impressive form when hitting Wexford Celtic for six without reply on Sunday.

Bill Joyce bagged a double for the pacesetter­s, with M.J. Kinsella, Jack Brazzill, John Leacy and Rioghan Crosbie adding a goal apiece.

Cloughbawn kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 9-1 thumping of Tombrack.

Jamie Murphy actually fired the visitors in front but, after going in 1-1 at the break, Cloughbawn took complete control in the second-half.

Brendan Coleman certainly had his shooting boots on as he scored six goals, while Peter Furlong helped himself to a hat-trick as Cloughbawn cruised to victory.

Gorey Celtic chalked up a 5-2 win over Ballymurn, with Greg O’Rourke, Jake Cassidy and Maksymilli­an Denisiuk hitting the back of the net and two own goals completing the tally for the north county men.

Boolavogue won by the odd goal in seven against Enniscorth­y United, with the winners scoring through a Martin McDermott double, Jono Donoghue and an own goal, and Seán Murphy (two) and Darren Walsh replying.

Cian Rossiter bagged a hat-trick and Mark Browne added a double for Wexford Albion as they won 5-0 away to St. Joseph’s, while Taghmon and Campile United came away with a point apiece after a 0-0 stalemate.
