Cormac’s continue their winning run

St. Cormac’s maintained their advantage at the top of Division 2 with a hard-fought 3-2 win over New Ross Town on Sunday.

Paul Donnelly bagged a brace for the saints, with an own goal completing their tally and Stephen O’Leary and David Murphy replying for Town.

Second-placed Cloughbawn kept the pressure on with a 2-1 win over St. Joseph’s, with Páidí Cullen and Martin Kehoe scoring for the winners.

Adamstown overcame bottom side Wexford Celtic 2-1 with goals from Conor Hickey and Tom Shannon, while Martin Flynn and Patrick Naughter got on the scoresheet for Killenagh Wanderers as they won 2-1 away to Fastnet Rovers.

Leaders Enniscorthy United added another three points to their tally on Sunday by overcoming Ajax Athletic in a local derby.

United came out on top 4-1 thanks to doubles from Jamie Fox and John Whelan.

Rosslare Port are just a point adrift of top spot after seeing off Cushinstown 5-2 thanks to a Jamie McMahon hat-trick and goals from Shane Lawless and Jonathan Rogan, while Bree United proved too good for Gorey Rangers, winning 4-1 with Noel Roche, Tomás Cash, Seán Ring and Liam Kelly getting on the scoresheet.

Bunclody and Shamrock Rovers drew 1-1, with David Halpin scoring for the former and Lee Morrissey replying, while a Jack O’Brien double earned Duncannon a 2-1 win over Enniscorthy Town.

Raheen leapfrogged Oylegate United into top spot by beating their rivals 3-2 in their top of the table clash on Sunday.

Daire Bolger, Mervyn Moloney and Dylan Whitty scored for the winners, with Lee Kehoe and John McCormack replying.

Wexford Albion contined their good run with a 7-2 win in Fethard. Jay Leniston and Ben Butler both netted doubles for the visitors, with Sam O’Neill, Kyle Mann and Kenny Hunt adding to their tally and JeanLuc Tubritt replying with a brace for Fethard.

Ballymurn also collected three points after edging out Rosslare Strand 3-2 thanks to a late winner from Stephen Redmond.

Goals from Eoghan Kehoe and Paul Larrissy had Ballymurn two goals to the good, but James Murphy and Conor Clancy drew Strand level, before Redmond struck with two minutes remaining.

Tommy O’Rourke bagged both goals for Bridge Rovers in their 2-0 win over Rosslare Rangers.

A.J. Redmond and Rory Higgins got the goals for Rathnure as they beat New Ross Celtic 2-0, while Shelburne overcame Rosbercon by the same scoreline, with Jess Quigley and Eoin Burke hitting the net.

Wexford Bohs continued their incredible start to the campaign, making it eight wins from eight by edging out Corach Ramblers 3-2 in their top of the table clash on Sunday.

Aaron Walsh and Ciarán Walsh (two) scored for Bohs, with Aaron Diskin and Adam Diskin replying for Ramblers.

All Blacks moved into second spot with a 2-1 win in Curracloe, with Aaron Wright-Power and Mark Doyle scoring for the winners and Thomas Murphy responding.

Daryl Murphy (two) and Peter Nash got the goals for Camolin as they edged out Carne F.C. 3-2, with Fergie Buckley replying with a double.

A Darryl Gray goal was enough for The Ballagh to earn the points against Caim United, while Castledockrell also chalked up a 1-0 win, with Adam Harte scoring their goal in Ferns.

Glynn Barntown remain the team to catch in Division 4A after they saw off Wexford Albion 3-0 on Sunday.

Jack Fenlon, Nigel Usher and Rioghan Crosbie (penalty) got the goals for the pacesetters.

Enniscorthy United hit Ballymurn for six, winning 6-1 thanks to doubles from Bill Rigley and Dylan Groarke and a goal apiece from Mick Rigley and Thomas Brady.

Boolavogue edged out Tombrack 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller, with Shane Grannell (two), Higor Garcez and Fionn Doyle scoring for the winners.

Taghmon United had their shooting boots on as they hit Wexford Celtic for six without reply. Mick O’Grady and William Codd both contributed doubles, with Shane Power and Thomas Furlong also getting in on the act.

Brian Cosgrave netted a double for Killenagh, with Colm O’Loughlin getting their other goal as they overcame St. Cormac’s 3-1, with Ray O’Brien replying for the saints.

St. Leonards edged out Camolin 4-3, getting on the scoresheet through Tommy Byrne (two), Seamie Kehoe and an own goal, with Paul Murphy (two) and Keith Crosbie replying.

Cushinstown and Kiltealy shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw, while Rosslare Port beat New Ross Town 4-2, with Liam Delaney (two), Dara Bottomley and Ciarán Kehoe scoring for Port and Dylan Delaney getting the Town goals.
