Jobs in Wexford increase

WEXFORD saw a three per cent increase in job vacancies during the third quarter of the year according to the IrishJobs.ie Jobs Index.

According to the latest figures hospitalit­y accounted for the largest share of job vacancies nationally at 14 per cent followed by banking and finance, both at 10 per cent, sales (9 per cent) and tech (8 per cent.)

The figures show Wexford continues to perform well in terms of new business growth. In the third quarter of this year the county posted a 7 per cent increase in job vacancies on the same period last year and 3 per cent from the second quarter of 2017.

The IrishJobs.ie Jobs Index is a key indicator of the jobs market.
