Yin Yoga is good for the body and soul

THERE are so many benefits to practicing Yin Yoga and it’s available to everyone. It doesn’t matter what level of fitness or mobility you are at, all postures can be adapted to suit your individual ability.

Yin Yoga is a relaxing passive form of yoga. It consists of practicing a series of floor based postures which access the deeper layer of fascia, joints and connective tissues.

With the use of bolsters, blankets and pillows we ensure the body is as comfortabl­e as possible as you gently sink into the pose. We then stay there for 1-5 minutes allowing the body to naturally start to open up creating space in the joints and tissues. This space allows previously trapped toxins and impurities to be released and to be replaced by the bodies own healing nutrients.

We also work with the Chinese Meridians (used in acupunctur­e) in Yin Yoga, to stimulate the various organs in the body encouragin­g the flow of vital healing energy to improve organ health and
