St. Leonards storm to the top of the table

St Leonards 8, All Blacks 3: The home side moved to the top of the table after they outscored a young All Blacks side, recording an 8-3 victory.

Two from Seren Ward and one from Sarah O’Donoghue made up the visitors’ tally, while Eimear Gabbett scored four for St. Leonards with Jennah Molloy and Eadaoin Kent adding two each.

Bunclody AFC 1, Forth Celtic 3: After containing a strong Bunclody attack in the first-half, Forth Celtic scored two late goals to win 3-1 and come away with all three points.

Laura Butler gave Celtic the lead but Lara Walsh quickly had the sides level. It was twelve minutes from the end before Sarah Carroll gave Celtic the lead, and Laura Butler scored her second of the game to secure victory.

Ballindaggin AFC 0, Tombrack United 4: Tombrack moved back into contention in the league when they made the short journey to Ballycarney and overcame a dogged home side 4-0.

Goals from Shauna McGovern, Nadine Fortune and two from Lucy Kemble gave the visitors a comfortable 4-0 win.

Shelburne AFC 7, North End United 1: Five goals from Katie Murphy and two from Ella Lyng had Shelburne well in control in this game and saw them run out comfortable 7-1 winners. Katie Law-Dempsey was the scorer for a young, hard-working North End side.

Adamstown FC 5, Arklow Town 4: This nine-goal thriller saw Adamstown eventually come out on top by the odd goal, moving up to third in the process.

Méabh Wickham scored a hat-trick for the home side while Karolina Jaglarz and Chloe Doyle added one each.

Ella Dobh scored twice for Arklow with Elle Ubvuchwska and Holly Jenkins also on target.

Corach Ramblers 10, New Ross Celtic 0: Ramblers proved much too strong for a young Celtic side, running out comfortable 10-0 winners. Shannon Anglim, Grace Donovan and Niamh Miller all scored two each while Rebecca Stafford, Ciara Cummins, Ciara Anglim and Ashling Waters all added one apiece.

St. Joseph’s 3, Moyne Rangers 2: This game was switched to Kilmuckridge due to an unplayable pitch in Moyne, but it turned out to be a thriller with St. Joseph’s coming from 2-0 down to snatch all three points with a last-minute winner.

Goals from Shauna Redmond and Katie Sherlock had Moyne 2-0 up but second-half goals from Ellen Cullen, Amy Mitten and a last-minute strike from Pia Hickey gave St. Joseph’s a victory that moves them joint top of the table.
