Forth in shake-up after win over Rangers DIVISION 1

-

FORTH CELTIC put themselves back into the shake-up near the summit of Division 1 with a 2-0 away win over leaders Rosslare Rangers on Sunday.

Paul Underwood and Lee Busher got the goals for the Murrintown outfit.

That result meant a victory would have sent St. Leonards two points clear at the top, but they had to settle for a point, with Martin Fitzharris getting their equaliser after Shane Cassidy had fired Kilmore United in front.

Ferns United continued their recent resurgence with a 6-2 win over North End United, with Ryan Nolan helping himself to four goals, and Martin Redmond and Adrian Breen adding a goal apiece.

Shelburne scored with the last kick of the game to earn a 2-2 draw with Moyne Rangers, with Glenn Buckley and Pa O’Rourke hitting the back of the net for the Bellefield boys.

Denis Murray and Tommy Turner were the goal scorers for Shelburne.

Owen Rowe bagged a brace for Campile United, but it wasn’t enough to earn his side anything and they lost out 3-2 to Curracloe.

Graham Staples (two) and Kyle Roche got the goals for the seasiders.
